"Project Timothy providing tools for ministry for Serbian churches and their leaders"
Project Timothy is a Crosslinks supported project and was founded by Crosslinks Mission Partners Chris & Lotta Strajnić and Rob & Trish MacCurrach in 2004. MacCurrach's returned to the UK in 2008 and Chris & Lotta returned to Sweden in 2014 were they still serve with Crosslinks in church planting. In 2014, Project Timothy was handed over to local leadership, and is now headed up by Riste Micev.
The main activities of Project Timothy are; training trainers, equipping in expository preaching, evangelism, discipleship and apprenticeship ministry as well as organizing camps and conferences. Project Timothy is also publishing materials and books that will be a resource for people to train others locally. In addition, Project Timothy is committed to supporting the growing number of church plants that are being established around the country. Many of the new church leaders are working in isolated, lonely regions of Serbia where there are often no other evangelical Christians. Project Timothy, under Riste's leadership, is hoping to help these new churches by providing Gospel and Bible centered tools, courses and training programmes and other resources for encouragement and practical ministry. Project Timothy is an interdenominational service, serving churches in Serbia.
